![]() He told me that there was a kid in his class that had a deck that looked exactly like mine, because I had a very unique combo of card sleeves that he and I always really liked. A few days pass, and my friend ran up to my house. He was bummed out, but I was able to make a makeshift deck out of cards I had, so we were still able to play together (playing yugioh was our favorite past-time). I was very happy that he tried.Ī little while after I got home, I went to my friend's house who lived a few houses up from me and I told him what happened. Sadly, he didn't win, but he got 3rd so he won 2 free packs for me. At that shop, 1st Prize was getting $30 worth of anything in the shop for free, so he was gonna try and get me some packs. My dad told me he was disappointed in me for leaving my things out for the taking, but he told me he appreciated that I was honest about making a mistake and he would try and get 1st place in the local if I promised to be more careful. Keep in mind this was when those cards were like $20-$80. This included stuff like Breaker, Jinzo, Mirror Force, TT, Exiled, etc. I told them, and out of sheer kindness gave me most of the cards that I had in my deck. So I was just sitting on the tourney area (There was the front of the store with the counter and there was an area behind that with the tabled) balling my eyes out, and all of the guys there were wondering what happened. I was fucking devastated, that deck was my prized possession. Wasn't even left alone for 10-15 seconds. I remembered, and I came back to find my deck was taken. In my excitement I accidentally left my deck up on the counter. I was really excited for this set, and my dad let me buy a few packs of it from the front desk. Well, one day a set just came out and we ordered a box of it on eBay. ![]() Everyone knew us at this shop and we were pretty well liked. Him and I build some pretty sick ass Pile of Randomness decks, because that's how we preferred to play. I would pick out the boxes, we would open and sleeve them up and he would trade. He used to be a hardcore trader back then, and we worked together. When I was young (ages 6 though 9) I would go up to my local card shop every Sunday with my dad.
